Happy March Beauties! Okay, we know we’re a little late ringing in the new month, but trust us it’ll be worth it! We would like to welcome you to what we are calling our month of Eco-Chic-ness! But we have to wonder, with nail polishes containing a slew of scientific words that sound anything but pretty, how harmful are these paints for not only us, but also the environment? But no need to fret beauties because natural nail polishes are on the rise and are a beautiful solution for your nails and the earth! Numerous polish brands have already begun ditching the harmful chemicals once contained in their nail varnishes and many more are establishing themselves on their use of solely natural and non-toxic ingredients. Drugstore Find: Faux Lashes & Glue duo

Hello Everyone!

It’s Shelly here! I’m back today with another drugstore beauty find!  One of our favorite services offered at the boutique is the “false lash application”.  Such an easy and fun way to dress up any makeup look.  I have some good news!  You don’t have to wait for a special occasion, you can try applying falsies at home!  Of course, you’ll need a few items to get started.  That’s where our drugstore find comes into play.  My two favorite brands of false lashes is ANDREA or Ardell.  I pick them up right at my local CVS.  They cost about $5-10.  They are available in individual styles and full strips.  The individual clusters are available in different lengths as well, short and medium.  Tip:  the “demi-lash” or #53 styles are the most natural looking.  You’ll also need the glue to apply the lashes.  After trying countless formulas, I can confidently tell you that the DUO lash adhesive works the best.  A new tube runs about $7 and lasts for several applications. DUO glue comes in a white and black formula.  I prefer the darker glue but if you’re a beginner, you might want to try the white glue so you can see where you’re putting it.  Don’t worry, they both dry clear!  It takes a little bit of practice but I promise you’ll get the swing of it in no time!  Now, go have some fun and show off those flirty lashes, beauties!

Real Wedding Feature: Saltwater Farm Vineyard Wedding by Anna Sawin

I know, its raining its pouring. This is a great day to cheer up with this beautiful Saltwater Farm Vineyard wedding full of purples, pinks and gentle green hues. My bride Josie was radiating and picked a perfect chic side chignon with a natural subtle makeup look. It was that kind of July day where there was just a gentle breeze to break up the heat and it just does not get better than that for a vineyard wedding. A great reminder that wedding season is about to begin in full swing and spring flowers are sure to bloom soon along with some more frequent sunny days.
