New Mommy Makeup
As a new mommy, your time and beauty budget may change, so here are some helpful beauty tips that will keep you looking well-rested, even when you’re not.
When you have no time for makeup, self-tanner keeps you radiant. Try Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer.
Save money by trying this home remedy for exfoliating the skin: Mix white sugar, brown sugar, olive oil, and a few drops of any essential oil (I prefer lavender). Use it on your legs, arms, feet and anywhere for soft and luminous skin! You’ll feel like you spent the day at the Spa.
Save time- think multi-functional makeup products. Use a tinted moisturizer for light coverage, sun protection, and moisture! A bronzing powder for cheeks works well on the eyes too! a tinted lip balm gives shine, moisture, protection, and just the right amount of color. Neutrogena makes a great one!
Use a lash curler to open the eyes and give the lashes extra curl. Trust me, it makes a difference.
Must Haves: I love Benefit Eye Bright or Trish McEvoy Eye brightener pencil for concealing dark circles or instantly brightening the eye area or brow bone. If nothing else, this will make you look more rested.
You don’t need a huge array of brushes- sponges and Q-tips are great tools! You’ll need a blush brush, but it doesn’t have to be super expensive. In fact, try the art store for good quality and affordable prices.
Alcohol free baby wipes are great if you need to take off makeup in a hurry and baby powder helps an oily scalp if you miss a shampoo (or you could just wear a really cute hat!).
Try using a skin brightening mask during simple exercises or while working around the house. I enjoy Grassroots Bright Now, the cherry extract helps remove impurities while making the skin naturally flush.
Cocoa Butter ideally treats stretch marks and wrinkles. Try Cococare in the yellow jar-it’s great stuff!
