Happy Happy New Year Beauties,

Yea 2012! Last year I started a personal tradition of taking time the first week of January; to get- my- gratitude -on (I don’t care if it sounds corny- it’s awesome!).

Don’t believe me? click here

Not just the thank you cards that your mom made you write to your grandparents for your presents when you were a kid- But deliberate, thoughtful thank you notes to people in your life who made this past year especially memorable.

Was it a good dinner? A conversation where a friend lifted you up? Was it feeling the love & support of someone actually listening?, Or did someone inspire you to be a little better? shine a little brighter? Was it honesty- the kind that only someone who really loves you has the guts to share? advice? did someone introduce you to a new activity that you now LOVE? did you have a really awesome beach day? sandwich? it can be anything!

It doesn’t have to be dramatic or heavy. It can be simple & sweet.

I’m pumped to do it this year. And I’ll do it with full awareness that this type of appreciation & gratitude will only beget more & more to flow into my 2012 (and because it feels good). You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again. Gratitude is the highest vibration- so get into it. Start looking around at what there is to be thankful for. Do it for the next 48 hours.

Or if you are really ambitious- find a jar, jot down on pieces of paper what you are thankful for right now & toss them in the jar. I promise you WILL notice more & more gratitude inducing people, places, feelings, & things in your world.
