Beauty Tip Tuesday New Years Resolution {Treating Dry Skin}

Holiday stress, new years drinking and excessive dry, cold air can really start to take a toll on our skin. Like me, you are probably noticing some irritation, a few dry patches and the occasion breakout. In order to combat these symptoms, I will adjust my skin care routine during the colder months. Try following these steps for maintaining healthy, hydrated skin.

1.) Cleanse daily, but only 1x per day. In the winter, I prefer to wash my face at night only and splash with water in the morning.

2.) Use cool to warm water. I know it’s tough on those frigid days but cold water helps to close your pores and won’t irritate skin as much as hot water.

3.) Use oils. It may be hard to get used to using any oil at first but I can promise you, you’ll see you such a difference in the clarity and texture of your skin! Oils, unlike creams don’t have barriers so they can penetrate much deeper into the skin, giving more noticeable results. I suggest using an oil, like the Anti-Aging Face Treatment by Vered at night.
